Peacock Sound Ltd is the audio company of Dave Peacock and Sarah Faust.
We specialise in animation audio including voice casting, voice direction, dialogue recording & editing, sound design & FX work and final mix.
Dave Peacock
Dave Peacock has been voice directing and casting professionally for almost 20 years. Working across all sectors but specialising in animation, he has become one of the most in demand voice directors in the UK having directed over 70 TV series and a dozen features.
He’s worked all over the world on titles such as Hilda, Thunderbirds are Go!, Moominvalley, The Octonauts, Dennis & Gnasher Unleashed, 101 Dalmatian Street, Love, Death & Robots, Kiya & The Kimoja Heroes, The Creature Cases, Go Jetters, Scream Street, Supa Team 4, The House and KIngsglaive: Final Fantasy XV.
Shows he’s directed have won many awards, and in 2021 and 2022 he was nominated for Emmys for his voice direction on Hilda.
In 2022 he won an Emmy as Supervising Dialogue Editor on Octonauts: Ring of Fire.
Sarah Faust
Sarah has been working in audio for over 25 years. Starting her career in Manchester at The Sound House she went on to head up the in-house audio department at stop motion specialists HOT Animation where she worked on the sound design and dialogue editing on Bob the Builder and Pingu.
With Peacock Sound, Sarah provides dialogue editing across many of the shows including; Hilda, The Octonauts, Thunderbirds are Go! & Go Jetters, and the sound design on select projects. Sarah’s casting skills have also been a crucial part of many of the award winning shows produced while at Peacock Sound.
In 2022 she won an Emmy as Dialogue Editor on Octonauts: Ring of Fire.
WHAT WE DO
Casting & Pre-Production
At Peacock Sound, we can take your project from character inception to finding the perfect cast. We can help you cast individual roles, whether celebrities or unknown artists, as well as whole ensembles.
If you need a series or feature film casting, we would require a full brief and breakdown of characters and we can hold casting sessions to ensure you get all the right voices and personalities.
Over the past few years we are proud to have cast numerous well known series such as Hilda, Thunderbirds Are Go!, Dangermouse, Tree Fu Tom, Octonauts, Go Jetters, Peter Rabbit, Creature Cases and many more.
As part of the pre-production process, we can offer or organise script translations and polishes, line counts, ADR preparation, scheduling of artists and contract negotiations.
WHAT WE DO
Audio Recording & Production
For the audio recording and production stages we can provide anything from just the voice direction to a full service of scheduling and payment of all actor and studio costs – so the client receives one invoice only.
Dave Peacock is one of the best and most experienced voice directors in the UK. His direction style is unique and extremely actor friendly. He has the ability to keep a room full of actors focused and on track, always getting the required performances. Working either in conjunction with the animation director or the production team a consistent performance is guaranteed across the series.
WHAT WE DO
Post Production
Once your audio has been recorded, we will edit it together into a radio play or multi-track edit using the selected takes for delivery however your animation team require it.
If we are dubbing post-sync then we will make sure everything is cleaned up and beautifully in sync, delivering all dialogue in place as a ProTools session or AAF.
We can also produce post-record scripts if required.
For specialist projects we offer full sound FX tracklay and sound design which will really bring your animated world to life, followed by a final mix to complete the project to broadcast standards.
WHAT WE DO
Audio Supervision
We provide Audio Supervision services, liaising with all aspects of production to ensure a cost effective and smooth audio path – from casting to final delivery. We can recommend and negotiate with suppliers and freelancers and even install on-site edit facilities. The most important aspect of the audio supervision services we offer however is to ensure the production’s creative vision is realised as fully and swiftly as possible.
